The idea of “Love Notes”, unknowingly, first began while jotting down random words, in an orange notebook, while recovering, just a few months after suffering a sudden stress-induced heart attack or a "broken heart".  

Then, six months after jotting down these random words, they, first, became the inspiration and creation of the 46 book chapters for my nurse book, “Mindful Meditations of a Nurse Warrior”.  

Shortly after the book’s publication, these random book chapter words, which helped heal my heart, along with my mind and soul, continued to inspire me to create “Love Notes”, one-of-a-kind notes and cards that are created from various recycled, repurposed, and renewed products and materials. 

Each one of the “Love Notes” are created and designed to show and share love, with either yourself or others; and also, if need be, to help restore and renew hearts, homes, work environments, and relationships with love through kind words.

May the “Love Notes” that you choose be the one that speaks to your heart and allows you to write from your heart.  Happy love noting with “Love Notes”.

Helping make heads, hearts, homes, work, and relationships happy and whole one headband at a time

With a love for wearing headbands, most of my life, especially when exercising, playing sports, or wanting an easy hair day, I have always had trouble finding a headband that did not fall off, hurt, or pinch my head until deciding to create my own. 

The idea to do so came to me, just before writing my book; but it wasn’t until after publishing my book that I began to delve in, design, and create headbands that actually fit, did not fall off, hurt, or pinch my head.  Using new and slightly used clothing, I began to create the headbands; and upon creating them, I found myself adding a heart, now my signature, as a reminder of how vital and fragile the heart is and what happens when it is not taken care of properly.  

So, if you find yourself or know of someone who loves to wear headbands, wants a comfortable, fun, and easy hair day, or just needs to be loved and whole again, get yourself or another a one of a kind “Happy Hearts Headband” and give a head and heart a hug.
